The Mobiliar Lab for Analytics at ETH Zurich is dedicated to investigating and improving human-machine interactions by the means of digital interventions and advanced analytics. PhD Student Position in Digital Interactions and Marketing (100%)
The PhD student will focus on an interdisciplinary research project on human-digital interactions with a focus on trust and artificial intelligences. The project comprises the conception, design, testing, and deployment of different digital interventions in experimental settings. The PhD student will be encouraged to attend international conferences and to publish in top research journals, as well as support the Chair of Technology Marketing at MTEC in its teaching activities.
Applicants should have successfully completed a Master degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, Computational Psychology, Cognitive Sciences, Marketing, or a related field combined with experience in conducting experiments. They have proven experience with data science methodologies, in particular statistical analysis and machine learning with Python (incl. Tensorflow and/or Keras) or R. They show a strong interest in societal / philosophical questions related to the concept of trust, ethics, or social responsibility. They are fluent in English; German is an advantage.
