inspire AG, which works in close cooperation with ETH Zurich, conducts basic and application-oriented research in many fields of production technology. It is the leading Swiss competence centre for technology transfer to the mechanical, electrical, and metal industries. The fields of work range from production machines to manufacturing processes and machine simulation to virtual reality.

To strengthen the Simulation and Metrology research group, we are offering the following position for young scientists (m/f) as of now or according to agreement. Research Associate (m/f/d) - Motion Control (80% - 100%)

In close contact with our industrial partners, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks in the field of motion control for high-precision motion systems. With the help of accurate sensor technology, modern drive technology, sophisticated algorithms and application of cutting-edge simulation tools, you will contribute to meet the ever-increasing demands on the productivity and precision of novel production systems.

The following applies to you:

• You have a Master's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or physics.
• You have profound knowledge and experience in the control technology of highprecision mechatronic systems. You are familiar with sensor technology for motion detection in general and with
• acceleration sensor technology in particular.
• You have basic knowledge in developing and testing algorithms for signal processing.
• You have a very good level of German and English.
• You like to work independently and with a high level of personal competence.
• You enjoy solving difficult problems.
• You are specifically interested in transferring your developments into application.
• You meet the formal criteria for admission to doctoral studies at ETH (only required if you are interested in a PhD).

From the beginning, you will be jointly responsible for an industrial project with a leading Swiss manufacturer of drive systems. If you are interested, the possibility of a doctorate at ETH Zurich can be discussed.
