The Industrial Robotics Group at ETH Zürich, is rapidly growing and focuses on pressing challenges in robot-based manufacturing. Utilizing advanced computational methods, machine learning, modeling, and custom hardware, we test our solutions in various real-world projects with industry.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Leading Research Engineer who can bring cutting-edge robotics projects to success. You set standards and solve challenging problems by integrating your engineering expertise alongside your team members.

  • Guide and oversee all SW-related activities in the group
  • Lead and manage projects, ranging from large, long-term undertakings, to short, fast-paced initiatives
  • As part of your team, design, implement, and test cutting-edge robotics solutions for the industry, based on research results from the group
  • Lead, guide, and mentor team members, including engineers and researchers, fostering their professional growth as engineers

Profile

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field from a top university
  • Proven track record as a project manager in industry
  • Strong ability to make independent decisions
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Python and C++
  • Additional competency in various areas of (software) engineering
