Funded Ph.D. Positions at the Max Planck ETH Center for Learning Systems

100%, fixed-term

Apply to do your PhD in our joint academic program between ETH Zurich, Switzerland and the Max Planck Society, primarily the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart / Tuebingen, Germany. We are currently accepting applications to join our program in 2023.

In our unique doctoral training program, PhD students are co-supervised by one advisor from ETH Zurich and one from the Max Planck Society. All PhD fellows will register as graduate students at ETH Zurich and, upon successful completion of their PhD project, will be granted a doctoral degree by ETH. The highly competitive fellowship program offers a wide range of activities including retreats and workshops. Fellowships will be remunerated through employment contracts with the Max Planck Society and ETH Zurich. The program language is English.

Profile

You are expected to hold an excellent degree at Masters's level in a relevant subject and should be enthusiastic about spending time during your PhD at both CLS partners. Good written and spoken English is essential.
