Bioinformatics specialist

20%-40%, Zurich, fixed-term

Our group, the Lab of Pharmaceutical Immunology, performs research at the crossroads of immunology, vascular biology and tumour biology. A major focus of our research lies in investigating inflammation-induced changes of lymphatic vessels and tumour microenvironment and their impact on leukocyte function and immune control of tumours. An important goal of our research is to identify and validate new molecules, which could serve as therapeutic targets to modulate immune responses. We address these questions by multi-omics approaches using experimental animal models and patient material.

Project background

You will be part of our research team working together to unravel mechanisms of immune control in homeostasis as well as disease contexts. The projects require professional bioinformatics expertise and also offer possibilities to develop novel data analysis methods, especially for the integration of scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and single-cell high-plex imaging data.

Job description

You will be responsible for Bioinformatics analysis of experimental data obtained from scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and high-plex imaging, the participation in manuscript preparation for publishing as well as the presentation of progress in meetings.

Your profile

  • PhD in bioinformatics or related field
  • Excellent skills in scRNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics data analysis approaches
  • Excellent language skills in English
