The Somagenetix project at Wyss Zurich offers the position of a Production Operator / Laboratory Assistant to support developing a gene therapy for children with primary immunodeficiency. As a member of the production team, you will make an important contribution to the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliant production of genetically modified human hematopoietic stem cells for phase I/II clinical trials.

Job description

  • Work with human hematopoietic stem cells using automated cell processing systems in a clean room pharmaceutical environment.
  • Management of material/reagents supply and storage (inspections and documenting of deliveries, stocking and release, labelling and transfer to a clean room, expiry control etc.).
  • Assistance in writing production-related documentation.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, or Laboratory Technician EFZ, Scientific Laboratory Technician HFP
  • Experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques
  • Familiarity with GMP manufacturing processes is an advantage
  • Work experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is an advantage
  • Good communication skills in German and English (verbal and written)
