Student Assistant for Communication Activities

The interdisciplinary Institute of Science, Technology and Policy (ISTP) at ETH Zurich operates at the interface of science, engineering and public policy. It aims to increase the policy relevance of scientific research and to educate future policy analysts and decision-makers. To support its organisational staff, the ISTP is currently looking for a dedicated student assistant for communication activities.

Job description

The Student Assistant will support the Institute in the management of its social media accounts and website as well as in marketing campaigns for its study programmes. This includes the independent management of a communication schedule for website and social media posts, the preparation of written text and visuals for the institute website and social media channels, support in producing and managing online campaigns as well as monitoring and proposing content for the website and social media channels. Additional tasks include the preparation of promotional materials (brochures/flyers, presentations, etc.) as well as support in the organization of events and related activities.

Profile

  • Currently enrolled as a student at a Swiss university (preferably late Bachelor's or early Master's level).
  • Proven experience and skills in social media management, website administration, or marketing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Reliable and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility and a knack for proposing own ideas.
  • Strong communication and writing skills in English. Command of German is a plus.
  • Ideally experience in using graphic design software.
