Postdoc or Established Researcher position in Structural Geology and Tectonics

The Structural Geology and Tectonics (SGT) group in the Geological Institute, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, is seeking researchers to join our program focused on the dynamics and kinematics of deformation in Earth’s lithosphere.

Job description

You will conduct structural geology and tectonics research in collaboration with SGT group members and will teach and co-teach core structure/tectonics courses at the B.S. level, including field-based courses. You will also have the opportunity to raise funding as lead principal investigator and supervise or co-supervise B.S., M.S. and PhD student projects. 

Your profile

You must have a PhD in Earth Sciences within the general area of structural geology and tectonics. You will have at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience and some university-level teaching experience. The ability to teach in German is required, and detailed knowledge of Alpine geology is preferred.
