PhD Student in Design & Synthesis of in vivo Imaging Probes
100%, Zurich, fixed-term
We are looking for a PhD candidate in the Yamakoshi group in the Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry (LAC) to join our group working on a project related to the design and synthesis of in vivo imaging probes. While this position is based in the LAC, our group has diverse knowledge in various topics including organic synthesis, imaging, and nanotechnology. This project will encompass these competencies allowing flexibility to explore a topic in greater depth.
Research Topics within Our Group:
- MRI and NIR probe for in vivo and in vitro imaging of diseases
- Chemical force spectroscopy and nanolithography by chemically functionalized AFM Tip
- Fullerene-based biomaterials
- Supramolecular complexation and self-assembly

Profile
- A highly-motivated student who has completed a Master's degree in chemistry or a similar field
- Able to work independently on your own project but also collaboratively with other scientists
- Background in organic synthesis
- High proficiency in oral and written English
