Project Manager Sustainability and Ethics in Education

80%-100%, Zurich, fixed-term

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager for Sustainability and Ethics in Education to support the systematic integration of sustainability and ethics into teaching and learning as of June 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing work packages that help students develop the competencies needed to address global challenges such as climate change, resource distribution, and ethical decision-making.

Project background

This position is part of a strategic effort to establish sustainability and ethics as fundamental elements of ETH Zurich’s education, enabling graduates to become “Change Agents for a Better Tomorrow.” Sustainability focuses on the responsible use of resources to meet current needs without compromising future generations, while ethics ensures fairness and justice in decision-making. Since sustainability issues are deeply intertwined with ethical considerations—such as intra- and intergenerational justice—ETH Zurich emphasizes both themes as a unified educational priority.

The Project Manager will join the Strategy and Analytics Group in the Unit of Teaching and Learning (UTL) at ETH Zurich, a team committed to anticipating future needs, enhancing education through strategic initiatives, and using data-driven insights to improve teaching outcomes. The Project Manager will work closely with faculty, students, and external partners to develop innovative teaching approaches, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and facilitate knowledge transfer across degree programmes.

The position is limited until the project's end (September 2026).
