Student Assistant - Professorship for History of the Modern World

The Professorship for History of the Modern World at ETH Zurich is looking for a student research assistant, starting 1 October 2024 / as soon as possible.
Job description
You will assist Prof. Fischer-Tiné and the team with research-related tasks. Duties such as data entry and filing as well as supporting event organisation may be expected. The workload consists of 8 hours per week on average during the semester. It is possible to work more during the semester breaks (to be arranged). We handle working time flexibly so that you can take time to prepare for exams or fulfill other study obligations, while coordinating with the team when tasks need to be completed. Ideally, we are looking for individuals who can stay employed as a student assistant for at least one year (e.g., while taking courses for their Master's degree), or possibly longer.
Profile
- Languages: German and English
- Work independently and exercise good judgment and discretion
- Ability to effectively manage primary sources in German and English
- Experience in Zotero is an asset
