The Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation at ETH Zurich's Department of Management, Technology, and Economics, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Georg von Krogh, invites applications for a Postdoc position. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in research aimed at addressing contemporary challenges in management and organizational theory.
Job description
Project and Supervision: The selected postdoc will engage in a two- to three-year research appointment focused on producing high-quality, impactful research aimed at publication in top-tier academic journals. The research will align with the Chair's core topics. Co-supervision and mentorship will be provided by Prof. Georg von Krogh and a team of senior researchers at SMI. Expected starting time: Q3/Q4 2025.
Profile
- A PhD (or equivalent doctorate) in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Engineering, or Economics).
- A strong publication record (or demonstrated potential) in leading academic journals relevant to management, innovation, or organizational science.
- Proven ability to conduct independent research, including conceptual development, empirical analysis, and/or qualitative/quantitative methods.
- A demonstrated interest in topics pursued by the Chair team, such as knowledge creation, knowledge management, innovation processes, digital technology and artifical intelligence in strategic management.
- A strong interest in and ability to collaborate effectively with members of the Chair's multidisciplinary and international team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
