The chair for history and philosophy of mathematical sciences covers mathematics, formal sciences and formal aspects of other sciences from a variety of humanistic points of view.
We are looking for a student assistant for technical editing of a textbook on the history of mathematics.
Job description
- Noting and correcting typos
- Noting unclear sentences and passages
- Consolidating the bibliography on Zotero
- Drawing mathematical diagrams (with a software of your preference)
- Checking permissions for imported images
- Formatting the material in MediaWiki
Profile
We are looking for a motivated and reliable student of a Swiss university with a high level of written English who pays much attention to detail. Experience with the relevant software/platforms is an advantage

We offer
Start date between April and June 2025, expected to continue until September 2025.
The anticipated workload is flexible, up to 15 hours per week. Hourly wage.
We can offer a working place in shared office space in one of our rooms on the top floor of the RZ building (Clausiusstrasse 59) and full access to our infrastructure, which can also be used for your study purposes.
