The Strategic Foresight Team sits within the Office of the President which supports the President in his role as leader of the Institution. We provide strategic and operational services to advance the President's vision and priorities for ETH Zurich and strive to help the ETH Zurich community create wholistic visions of tomorrow and connect future thinking with contemporary action.

As our Executive & Team Assistant you will be contributing to various activities, initiatives and projects to ensure ETH Zurich continues to make a meaningful impact on Swiss society and economy in the years to come.

The position is limited until the end of March 2026 with option to extend.

Project background

The Office of the President is made up of a group of teams. Each one fulfills a specific mandate for him, as well as working together. The Strategic Foresight Hub was established in early 2020 as a very small team. The projects which it works on are all collaborative across ETH Zurich and out into Swiss society.

Job description

As Executive Assistant to the Head of Foresight, Dr. Chris Luebkeman, you manage the inbox, coordinate the calendar, and organize appointments to ensure smooth daily operations. You handle correspondence in German and English, conduct research, and support monthly expense processing and travel planning.

In your secondary role as Team Assistant for three project managers, you provide administrative support, lead team schedule coordination, and organise events. You also maintain the contact database, collaborate with other assistants across ETH Zurich, and support the Strategic Foresight Hub as needed.

  • Service orientation is second nature, even in fast-moving environments

  • You are fluent in German and English and have excellent written and verbal skills
  • You bring several years of experience as an executive, management and/or team assistant 
  • Experience in a university, think tank or strategy consulting environment is a plus
